Easter Seals Superior California's Adult Day Services provide unique training opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities that focus on increasing each person's level of independence through a variety of teaching and training methods. The focus of the ACE-IT III program is on the development of functional skills related to individual needs and greater access to the community. Individual goals can be in the areas of vocational, fine arts, performing arts, domestic, recreational/leisure, general life skills, independent living skills, socialization skills and having the opportunity to be a part of the community. Presently, the program serves 68 consumers, with 24 staff, and 2 buses to help transport people within the community and beyond. The program continues to expand to meet the needs of many different people. For example, many people attending the program work and have their own apartment. The ACE-IT III program uniquely tailors the services it offers to each individual, and to what they desire and need.
"Adults with disabilities will experience the lifestyle of their choice."

It has been an exciting week here at Ace-it-III! It was brought to my attention by a former employee of Ace-it-III that the Yuba City Police Station was interested in having a room painted for their younger victims. We gladly accepted this opportunity to do so. We painted a full mural all around the room. Our clients who were involved were really excited about this. On the second day the investigations sergeant Brian Baker bought lunch for us and let us eat with on duty police officers. My group really really loved doing this, they talked and talked and talked. The best thing about this experience is we get to go to a city councle meeting and be reconginzed by the police department. I believe this is going to be a really good boost for these clients, they need it and deserve it. We were also told that acouple of them my stop by to help us set up our haunted house and that they are sending as many as they can get to view the haunted house to help support us. Everyone at the Police department were very nice and may have us back again in a different department to do some more work!
