SAFARI (Securing A Future for At Risk Infants) is the driving force and vision for the Easter Seals' pediatric team. Children born “at risk” face some unique challenges. Observation, evaluation and early intervention are critical to impacting delays, growth and development. Studies have shown that many children who receive therapy before the age of 3 have an increased chance of offsetting delays in development. Easter Seals encourages all parents to watch for developmental milestones and seek evaluation if you have questions.
Early Start Developmental Services
The Early Start Developmental Services program offers specific therapy treatment and intervention for children from birth to three years who have a significant delay in at least one developmental area, have a condition with a known probability of causing disability or delay, or are at risk for having a developmental disability. Early Intervention therapy is provided in the most natural environment for the child begin services. Often this is the home, but we are able to provide served at day care, on site at our therapy clinic pool, or in the community.
